Why do you have these fees?

Since we implemented these policies and fees in November 2021, it has drastically decreased the amount of people who have cancelled or rescheduled last minute! It has increased the professionalism given to stylists in our industry, which protects the integrity of our profession. This helps our stylists consistently provide and contribute to their families as their appointments are more likely to show up for their scheduled appointments, rather than cancel and reschedule last minute to avoid fees.

How do you let guests know about the policy and fees?

If you book online, it is presented to you on the last screen of booking, and must be acknowledged and accepted before booking. You must deliberately check a box agreeing to the terms before booking. If you book in person, a confirmation email is sent to you, and in that email is a "to do before your appointment" section with a form for you to complete. The information is in the email in full detail. It is on our website, and in 2026 have updated our salon signage. ​

What are the fees for cancelling/rescheduling?

If you cancel or reschedule with MORE than 24 hours notice, there is no fee. If you cancel within 24 hours notice, we charge 50% of the scheduled appointment to your card on file. No services can be rendered until payments have been received. *Note- multiple incidents may require you to make a deposit for future appointments.

Is there a grace period?

Please know that our hearts are not in a place where we desire to charge your card in these situations!!
We do our best to have grace when and where we can!! We make notes of when we "pass" on charging a short notice cancellation or rescheduling fee due to things like illness, sick kids, or other unforeseen events. Our first response isn't to just charge your card! But when these things happen frequently; or back to back, we have to enforce policy. THANK YOU to the guests who have stood by us through these changes, and even paid these fees happily, and continued to support us! You are the real MVPs, and we are so very thankful for you!

What's "short notice"?

Ideally, we'd love to know ASAP when you can't make it. But anything within 24 hours (the day before) your appointment that gets cancelled or rescheduled, we charge a 50% fee of the services that were booked; as those larger appointments are extremely hard to fill last minute. If you cancel or yes, even reschedule, the day of, we charge 100% of the scheduled appointment; as we have even less time to fill that spot for our stylist. ​

What are the fees if I cancel last minute or can't show up, or I forget?

If you cancel "last minute", aka: the day of, a few hours before, at-the-time-of, 15/30/45 minutes into your scheduled appointment, or just don't show up, we charge 100% of the scheduled appointment to the card on file. All of these policies are presented when booking your appointment online, and are also in the email you get after an appointment is booked online or in person- under "to do before your appointment- view and complete the required forms". By booking your appointment you have acknowledged and accepted these terms. 

Why do I need a credit card to book online?

Having a card on file makes checking out so much easier on our secured systems! If you forget your wallet, or have trouble pulling out your card, we've got you! On a sadder note, if we have to charge you a cancellation fee (see other FAQ), there's a card on file. 

Is this common to charge fees?

Actually yes! In 2021 when we started charging these fees, we were LATE to jump on board. Most salons in our area were already practicing this, and by 2023, even more salons are doing this to protect their stylists and reduce last minute cancellations. Today, in 2026, it has become common practice, and even very small "mom and pop shops" have adopted these policies to protect themselves from these costly cancellations. 

Will tip be added if there's a fee?

No. We will never add gratuity to your card, or add any products. Only services that were scheduled PRIOR to your visit- meaning what we were fully intending on doing- will be charged. We will never add anything on. Also, we will do our best to reach out multiple times before processing your card for payment. If a payment cannot be processed, we will not provide services until payment for said appointment has been received.

Can I come back if I miss an appointment?

Yes. Absolutely. As long as payment for the missed, cancelled, or rescheduled appointment has been received, we are happy to take care of you!

If you NO SHOW, however:
You're unable to book online.
You need a 50% deposit for all future appts; which will be forfeited if you cancel that appointment. A new deposit of 50% will be required to make another appointment.

Again, our hearts are NOT to just charge your card for fees! Honestly- we make MORE when you're IN OUR CHAIR ​🥴🥰
Please just let us know in advance so we can work with you and all this can be avoided!
